SUMMER PROGRAMS ANNOUNCED

Round Top Family Library , Texas State Library and Archives & Ringling Bros. Circus team up with Reading Club

The Library’s 2008 Texas Summer Reading Club will kick off on June 24th with a party, clown visit and cool prizes. The cooperative effort by the Library, Texas State Library & Archives, and Ringling Bros. encourages children to use library resources to complete a program of reading that will take them through the summer and into the next school year. For children completing the program, a certificates will be earned and a free circus ticket will also being given.  Children ages 2-12 are eligible and must complete at least 15 hours of reading (either by reading themselves or being read to) during the June 24-August 1 time frame.

Weekly themes will be introduced by way of a “Treasure Chest” when children visit the Library. Participants must complete and turn in their reading time logs to qualify for the certificate and ticket for circus performances to be held in Austin Aug. 20th – 24th.

Registration deadline: May 30
Projects will be finished within one session.
Donation: $10.00

Newberry Book Read-Along

2nd -6th Graders (credit given toward summer reading program).
June 3 – 6 from 2-3pm each day

Story Time &  Crafts

Pre-K- 1st at 4PM on June 6th and 13th and July 11th and 18th.

Flag Crafting

Grades 2nd -6th June 20th and 27th at 2- 3PM.
