An Acoustic Afternoon in the Country with Radney Foster
October 28 @ 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm$50
Texas-born singer songwriter Radney Foster has composed hit country and pop records for artists such as Keith Urban, Luke Bryan, and Kenny Loggins. His 11th album, For You To See The Stars, is a project comprised of two parts – a book and a CD. The book is a collection of fictional short stories formed by Foster’s upbringing on the Mexican border in Del Rio, TX. Although the literature can be enjoyed independently, each story is uniquely coupled with a song. The 10-track album, also titled For You To See The Stars, features nine new songs and a special re-recording of “Raining on Sunday,” the song Foster co-wrote with Darrell Brown, which became one of Keith Urban’s top Billboard singles.
Radney will be traveling to Round Top on Sunday, October 28th for a one-time, memorable performance at the Shakespeare Theater Barn at the Winedale Historical Complex. He will tell stories, read from his book, and play songs from the album. Enjoy a musical Sunday afternoon at a lovely, acoustically-pleasing setting. The performance will begin at 3:00 p.m.
Tickets can be purchased online here, or by stopping by the library. Your tickets will be mailed to you if purchased by Oct 23rd. If purchased after that, they will be available for you at Will Call.
Also, Radney will join us for an intimate “Meet & Greet” prior to the performance. Details are being finalized at this time – we’ll update this posting with information about the Meet & Greet as soon as it is available.
